Amanda McCabe

PhD student 2011-2015

Thesis: Macrophages Negatively Regulate the Hematopoietic Stem Cell Pool at Steady State and During Disease

Amanda graduated in 2015 and joined the lab of Dr. David Williams as a postdoctoral fellow. Dr. McCabe was a director of the Translational Research Flow Core at Boston Children’s Hospital. She now works in medical writing.

Dr. Julianne N.P. Smith

Postdoctoral Fellow 2015-2017

After completing her PhD with Dr. Laura Calvi at the University of Rochester, Dr. Smith joined the MacNamara lab and studied shock-like infection and cell death in hematopoietic progenitors.

She is now a lead researcher in the Immunology Division at Battelle.

Allison Seyfried

Master’s Student: 2017-2020

Lab Manager, MacNamara Lab: 2020-2022

Allie was the MacNamara lab manager for more than two years, and navigated the lab through some trying times (COVID). She worked on the bone marrow failure project, but also kept all lab related activities running smoothly and supported the success of many research projects.

She is now a Manager at the Center for Pharmakodyamics in Schenectady, NY.
